Art Portrait Photography
I begin an Art Portrait with a human being, with a person, but I don’t necessarily end there. I take what I find and push it further. It may need a little courage and some beautiful discomfort until the portrait becomes an image of its own. But what it becomes often takes my breath away. Perhaps yours as well.
A portrait shows a person willing to be photographed. An Art Portrait asks what else that person might become.
A good portrait does not need to impress you or anyone else. It only needs to leave you thinking: Yes, that is me or not at all.
