Event Photography
I photograph events from intimate gatherings of 12 people to conferences and productions with 500 participants. Events range from cinema premieres and masterminds to business and networking meetings. I keep an eye on audiences as much as on the speakers on stage. My event photography comes very much from the way I photograph people. Even in a room of 500, I still see the individual. I bring my portrait and artistic eye into the event rather than simply documenting what happened. In other words, an event may bring hundreds of people together. I still look for the aliveness of the moment.
A good event photograph does not need hundreds of people in the frame. Sometimes one face tells you what the whole room felt like or when aliveness becomes visible.
