Writing
Here, I dive wordly into the human condition: innocently direct and with a humble mind.
The home of my writing resides on Substack. There you can connect with me most directly and intimately. On Substack’s TRUE COMPANY project, I share stories, sketches (vignettes), poems and, most importantly, personal correspondences. You can even become a Correspondent yourself if you choose to subscribe.
I have been writing for years. Stories, poems, books, things I don’t quite know what to call. I’ve written in apartments and hotel rooms, hell, even in bars and on park benches. I’ve written about people I know and people I met once and never saw again. Some of them are real. Some I invented and I am inventing often. Most are probably somewhere in between. Does it matter? Not much to me. However, what matters is that I don’t lie to the story, making the story true in worlds I create. And perhaps that’s the whole damn thing. I write because I have something to tell you.
I write about loving someone too. About leaving and being left. We screw things up. We fall in love with the wrong person at the wrong time and sometimes with the right person at an even worse time. That’s life, I suppose. And sometimes I simply want to write you a letter. They might be very personal in nature and still be a product of fantasy. I will not comment on the realism of those letters, but they surely are true.
